Logo DesignDesigning a Logo
A well-executed logo embodies the spirit and character of a company. It is “instant identity,” a way of capturing how companies feel about themselves and conveying that image to the outside world. Pictorial symbols have existed throughout history of humankind – from the pictographs used by prehistoric people to the visual insignia used to represent families in the Middle Ages. But, it was not until the Industrial Revolution that the use of brand names, labels and trademarks became widespread. Today, everybody from small businesses to huge corporations use a logo. They still represent value; in fact, major brand names, and their accompanying logos, are powerful commodities in the business world. A logo represents a certain level of quality and service, and the brand loyalty and development of public trust generated by this logo in turn helps to ensure the reliability of the company and its products. The company logo, in many cases, can become almost as important as the company’s product or service. DIRECTIONS
